Our bodies lay stitched to one another, lifeless
like an eiderdown, by the garden floor
gossamers & ghosts go around
into and from the fissures of our heads
mine to yours yours to mine
nothing spoken nothing said
ballet of silent shadows 'fore our eyes
half open in our half sleep
Dream. We fall in one. Asleep, as one.
setting the stage for another dream.
and wake up alone on our beds
with black eyes and clouded thoughts
in reminiscence of yet another sleepless night
